CERA VE MOISTURIZER
Moisturizer is a critical product to have when it comes to applying makeup. before putting anything on your face, you want to make sure your face is well moisturized. A dry face can result in clumpy makeup. It's known as an essential part of skincare. Each one of them caters to different skin types. They have various options such as daily hydration, anti-aging, acne-prone skin, sensitive skin, and nighttime repair. Some things to consider when purchasing a moisturizer are SPF protection and texture consistency for best results. This is important because it can help protect your skin from sun damage. It's important to apply this product before your makeup for several reasons. For starters, it smoothes your skin and acts as a foundation or concealer for a smoother look, as I mentioned earlier. It also regulates oil production for oily skin. That can cause your makeup to come off of your face easily, using moisturizer prevents that from happening. Another thing it does is cover blemishes and protect your skin from the sun. It can also maintain water in your skin. Hydrating your skin is fairly important because it gives off that healthy look. Honestly, I don't really use moisturizer as much as I should, just to lay it out there on the table. The one that was used very often was from Curology cream moisturizer. The tube is about 50 ml (20 ml travel size) and you can buy it on their website for about 416 before tax but it's something that I won't recommend too much. I honestly feel like there are moisturizers out there that do better jobs. This product carries some very good ingredients such as hydraulic acid, aloe vera, and shea butter. One brand that caught my attention was Cera Ve. They have such a wide variety of moisturizers for the face and body for different skin types. According to their website, they have moisturizers for "smooth and soothe dry skin and sensitive skin, as well as rough and bumpy skin, cracked and chafed skin, eczema, psoriasis, diabetic skin, and itchy skin." CeraVe Moisturizing Cream is more of a neutral product that I would suggest using before applying makeup. It helps with normal to dry skin and helps hydrate the skin which ticks very important boxes. It's a rich, non-greasy, fast-absorbing moisturizer. Another thing to note is that this is dermatologist-recommended. Some of the key ingredients are ceramides (restores natural skin barriers), hyaluronic acid (skin moisture balance), dimethicone (conditions the skin), and petrolatum which relieves dry, flaky, itchy skin. The jar is about 16 oz for 15.49 before tax. This may be a little pricey for some people but they also have a daily moisturizer for 8 oz for about 12.39 before tax. CeraVe is a brand that has something for everyone. I plan on investing in some very soon! So if you are looking for a good moisturizer to add to your skincare/makeup routine, head on over to CeraVe.com or your local Target or Walmart to grab some. Any store with a pharmacy section carries this product too. I hope I helped a lot!
